The International School of the Gothenburg Region is a multi-cultural organisation with more than 60 different nationalities represented. While cultural diversity is essential to ISGR, we never deviate from the legal and moral values we have set. At ISGR the children’s safety is of primary importance. We do not accept any form of corporal punishment or abuse, neither at school nor at home. In order to safeguard the children’s rights, the school must report any suspected cases in accordance with Swedish legislation. No form of racism is tolerated. Any case of racism is promptly reported to the Head of School who will take proper action. ISGR does not discriminate in its programmes or employment on the basis of race, colour, religion, national origin, handicap/disability, sex, or age. ISGR is not biased towards any religion, but stands for learning and understanding of all cultures and their beliefs. Therefore students are not excused from activities in classes on the grounds of religious beliefs or other cultural traditions.
